Teen Animal Cruelty Program materials and video replay now available online at no charge!

The New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Animals and the Law presented a program on September 18, 2008 entitled “Teen Animal Cruelty: Legal Issues and Practical Solutions.”   This very timely program explored from various perspectives the issues involved in animal cruelty cases and in particular those relating to youthful offenders as well as the unique interventions employed by some states to address them.  The speakers included noted psychologists and attorneys who are pioneers in seeking to develop more successful interventions to see that children who abuse animals do not become violent offenders as adults.  The written materials, including biographies of all of its participants, and a video replay of this very important program are available, at no charge, at:  http://www.nysba.org/TeenAnimalCrueltyProgram.
