2013 Mitchell Rabbino National Healthcare Decisions Day
Your Decisions Matter

The Elder Law Section is pleased to sponsor the 2013 Mitchell Rabbino National Healthcare Decisions Day to inform the public about advanced directives.  The 2013 National Healthcare Decisions Day is Tuesday, April 16.  Together with the Health Law  and Trusts and Estates Law Sections we hope to educate as many New Yorkers as we can about the importance of advanced directives.

Through this public service project, volunteer lawyers will give free presentations (approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour) explaining legal procedures and documents to help New Yorkers make better, more informed healthcare and financial decisions.  Topics include: Why you need a will, The differences between living wills and health care proxies, purpose of a power of attorney.
