Those who will be traveling to Albany for the Finals should be aware of the following important information:

Team members should arrive at the hotel on Sunday, May 15th to check in around 4:00 pm.  Please be advised that if you arrive earlier, your rooms may not be ready immediately upon your arrival.  Keep in mind that the hotel may need time to clean any rooms that were occupied by previous guests from that morning.  Also, there are typically several other large groups in the hotel during this time who are also waiting to check in, so your patience would be appreciated.

The winning teams and their coaches/advisors will be staying at the Hilton Albany located at 40 Lodge Street, Albany, NY 12207. Be advised that there are typically other events going on in Albany at the same time as our Mock Trial Finals. Guests who plan on traveling to Albany for the Finals should be aware that the Hilton may not have any additional rooms available.  You can check with the other hotels in the downtown Albany area for their availability: Hampton Inn (25 Chapel Street)Fairfield Inn & Suites Albany Downtown (74 State Street)Renaissance Albany Hotel (144 State Street) and Holiday Inn Express Albany - Downtown (300 Broadway).

A Winners Packet and a Friends and Family Packet will be provided to each team's coach/advisor explaining everything in more detail.

All teams MUST attend the Finals on Tuesday, May 17.  Guests are welcome to come to the Semi-Finals and/or the Final rounds, however, be advised that there are space limitations in the courtroom. Team members and NYSBA staff will be seated in the courtroom first.  If there is still room, guests will be allowed into the courtroom.  We cannot guarantee that everyone will be able to be in the courtroom during the trials.   Friends and family can click here for more information.

Everyone entering the James T. Foley Federal Courthouse must pass through a security checkpoint and a metal detector. DO NOT bring any cell phones, cameras, other electronic equipment or any items that will set off the metal detector. Anyone other than attorneys attempting to bring in a cell phone or using it inside the courthouse will result in having the phone confiscated by security, and it will not be returned to you until you leave the courthouse.
