Gregory K. Arenson of Manhattan is the new chair of the 2,273-member Commercial and Federal Litigation Section.

Arenson is a partner at Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer. He is a business litigator who represents clients in a variety of areas, including antitrust, securities and employee termination.

A 35-year member of the State Bar, Arenson most recently served as chair-elect of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section. He is co-chair of the section's Committee on Federal Procedures and a past chair of the Committee on Discovery. He previously co-chaired the Task Force on the State of Courthouses.

Arenson is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School. He lives in Manhattan.
