The New York State High School Mock Trial Finals will be held in Albany on May 21-23, 2017.
Those who will be travelling to Albany for the Finals should be aware of the following important information:
The teams and their coaches will be staying at the Hilton Albany in downtown Albany
www.hiltonalbany.com. A room block will be made available, however, all rooms must be reserved by the NYS Bar Association’s Statewide Coordinator – Teams are not allowed to make their own reservations.
Friends and Family Members
If you will be attending the Finals and want to stay at the Hilton Albany, you will need to make your own arrangements however you cannot reserve a room from our room block. These rooms are reserved for team members and State Bar staff only.

Check-in/Registration/Media Release Form
Team members should arrive at the hotel on Sunday, May 21st between 3:00-5:00 pm. The Coach must check in with the State Bar Coordinator at the Registration table in the lobby upon arrival.
All team members (students, coaches and advisors), must sign a Media Release form which has been provided to each team's coach. The signed forms should be given to the State Bar Coordinator upon arrival at the hotel. A copy of the Media Release can be downloaded by clicking here.

The Trials/James T. Foley Federal Courthouse
All trials will be held at the James T. Foley Federal Courthouse, 445 Broadway, Albany, NY 12207. Friends and family of the winning teams are welcome to come to the courthouse and watch the Semi-Finals on Monday, May 22. All teams MUST attend the Finals on Tuesday, May 23. Guests are welcome to attend, however, team members will have priority seating in the courtroom. Spectators may be seated after the team members.
IMPORTANT! Everyone entering the Federal Courthouse must pass through a security checkpoint and a metal detector. Do not bring any equipment or items that will set it off. Leave all electronics such as cameras, cell phones and smart watches in your room or vehicle. Practicing attorneys and the State Bar Staff are the only ones allowed to bring a cell phone into the courthouse. If you bring any electronics with you, they will be confiscated by security and will not be returned to you until you leave the courthouse.
