Newly-admitted attorneys must complete a minimum of 32 credit hours of accredited transitional education within the first two years after admission to the Bar. In each of the first two years, 16 accredited hours must be completed as follows: 3 hours of ethics and professionalism; 6 hours of skills; 7 hours of law practice management and areas of professional practice.
All other attorneys must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours of accredited continuing legal education each biennial reporting cycle in ethics and professionalism, skills, law practice management or areas of professional practice. Of the total, at least 4 credit hours must be in ethics and professionalism. The biennial reporting cycle is the two-year period between the dates of submission of the attorney’s biennial registration statement.
