Richard M. Gutierrez
Richard M. Gutierrez, a Queens County solo practitioner, was elected a member-at-large of the Executive Committee. Gutierrez handles all phases of criminal, personal injury, medical malpractice and civil rights cases.
Involved with the State Bar for the past three decades, Gutierrez previously served as vice-president for the 11th Judicial District. He is a member of the House of Delegates and the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law and Trial Lawyers sections.
Gutierrez was the first Hispanic president of the Queens County Bar Association. He is a past president of the Latino Lawyers Association of Queens County. He also is the immediate past chair of the Grievance Committee for the 2nd, 11th, and 12th Judicial Districts, on which he served from 2010–14. Gutierrez has also served on the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on the Judiciary since 2014.
He graduated from Brooklyn College and earned his law degree from Seton Hall Law School.
