Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section
Barry Skidelsky is Chair of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section (EASL) of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). He is also a member of NYSBA's House of Delegates, the association's governing body.
A former broadcasting executive and Berklee trained jazz musician, Barry is now a NYC based business attorney with strong acumen providing legal representation, counsel, co-counsel, consulting and related services across the U.S.
Barry has substantial experience involving diverse corporate, transactional, litigation and regulatory matters, but he most enjoys working on business matters with other lawyers, lenders, investors, owners, operators and creators who are involved with entertainment, digital media, and telecommunications and technology.
His background also includes successes as in-house General Counsel, corporate Secretary, and board of directors member for several venture capital and private equity backed companies, including a publicly traded digital media company and an internet service provider.
Also experienced as a bankruptcy trustee, FCC ownership trustee, broker and arbitrator, Barry is a graduate of the University of Vermont and Vermont Law School, a frequent author and speaker, and fluent in Spanish.
