Ross J. Kartez is an associate with Franzino & Scher, LLC, practicing primarily in the areas of litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Kartez earned a Bachelor’s Degree concentrated in Legal Studies from The University at Buffalo in 2008 and was awarded his Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University, School of Law in 2012. In 2013, he was admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and the State of New York. Mr. Kartez has received extensive mediation instruction, including the required training certified by Part 146 of the New York State Unified Court System.
While at St. John’s University, School of Law, Mr. Kartez served as an executive board member of the Dispute Resolution Society, and was a participant of the prestigious International Chamber of Commerce Mediation Competition in Paris, France; and the FINRA Securities Dispute Triathlon in New York City. While in Law School, he also gained experience representing clients under close supervision at the St. John’s University, Securities Arbitration Clinic. He currently serves as the coach of the International Mediation Team and is an active alumnus.
Mr. Kartez is a member of the NYSBA’s Dispute Resolution Section and Commercial and Federal Litigation Section. He has been published in the Dispute Resolution Lawyer (a publication circulated by the Dispute Resolution Section) and currently serves as a Co-Chair of the New Lawyer & Student Committee.
