Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias Curriculum

Update to the CLE Rules

The CLE Board issued two updates to the CLE program rules, including the addition of a new category of CLE credit.

In addition to ethics and professionalism, skills, law practice management, and areas of professional practice, a new category was added for diversity, inclusion and elimination of bias courses. This category of credit is effective July 1, 2018. Providers of CLE will be able to classify courses as diversity, inclusion and elimination of bias courses.

For more information regarding this new rule visit: www.nycourts.gov/attorneys/CLE

In an effort to assist attorneys with compliance with the new rules, free CLE programs were offered on diversity, inclusion and elimination of bias topics for NYSBA members. The online on-demand archives as well as upcoming live programs are listed below.

If you have course proposals and speaker suggestions for programs that incorporate diversity, inclusion and the elimination of bias topics please email them to NYSBA CLE Director, Katherine Suchocki.
