Mission Statement

The Committee for Bar Leaders of New York State is first and foremost an organization for bar leaders dedicated to providing a forum for the exchange of information and ideas. 

The Committee works to advance the objectives of the organized bar, encourages communication and collaboration among bar associations, promotes leadership development for present and future bar leaders, hosts workshops and programs that provide educational opportunities and foster networking.

Call for nominations: 2018 Bar Leaders Innovation Awards

The Committee for Bar Leaders is pleased to announce its Call for Nominations for the 2018 Bar Leaders Innovation Awards. These awards recognize how bar associations adapt to the needs of their members and the community at large by introducing new programs, ideas and methodologies that benefit everyone involved. Every bar association is encouraged to participate. Every new idea put into effect, no matter how small it may seem, is welcome for consideration.

The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, November 16. Award winners will be recognized during the 2019 Annual Meeting of the New York State Bar Association in New York City, and the award presented to the winning associations at one of their local events.
