The Committee for Bar Leaders of New York State is first and foremost an organization for bar leaders dedicated to providing a forum for the exchange of information and ideas.
The Committee works to advance the objectives of the organized bar, encourages communication and collaboration among bar associations, promotes leadership development for present and future bar leaders, hosts workshops and programs that provide educational opportunities and foster networking.

The Committee for Bar Leaders
and the Committee on Leadership Development are pleased to sponsor the Retreat, to be held at the New York Bar Center in Albany, NY.
Individual programs include a
panel presentation by Appellate Division judges; a discussion about retaining
and attracting membership, including the role and use of social media;
strategies to engage and lead board members; and how to assess and handle
crisis-management situations. Click the link above for additional information.
The retreat is open to
current bar leaders (officers and board members), NYSBA Section
leaders, and to any attorney or bar member interested in developing
leadership and related skills.
A detailed retreat agenda and
program fee will be provided shortly. A room block is also available.
We look forward to seeing you
at the Retreat!

Congratulations to the 2017 award winners: the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys and the New York County Lawyers Association. These awards recognize how bar associations adapt to the needs of their members and the community at large by introducing new programs, ideas and methodologies that benefit everyone involved.
