Program Description:
Does the image of lawyers depicted in motion pictures bear any resemblance to those in real life practice? The Committee on Attorney Professionalism is pleased to present this annual program based on film clips from major motion pictures depicting attorneys and the ethical and professionalism dilemmas they face. This entertaining and engaging format features discussions by an authoritative panel addressing issues raised in a variety of motion pictures. Areas to be explored include: Conflicts of Interest; Communication and Scope of Representation; Allocation of Authority between the Client and Lawyer; Civility; Confidentiality; Solicitation and Recommendation of Professional Employment and Ethical Issues Implicated by Multi-Jurisdictional Practice. Clips will be chosen from among the following films: A Few Good Men;  To Kill a Mockingbird; The Rainmaker;  Legal Eagles and  Liar Liar.

Does real life law practice imitate on-screen law practice? Tune in and find out!
