Estate Planning for Same Sex and Unmarried Couples After DOMA:

1.0 TOTAL MCLE CREDITS (1.0 Areas of Professional Practice/Law Practice Management)

**Please Note: There will be a 30 minute real-time question and answer period hosted by Joshua S. Rubenstein directly following the video replay at 1:00 p.m.**

Detriment or Opportunity? - Many basic estate planning techniques are unavailable to unmarried couples – whether opposite sex couples who decline to marry, or same sex couples who are unable to marry or to have their marriage recognized. This session will examine where such couples are discriminated against, how such discrimination can be mitigated, and where special planning opportunities exist, particularly in view of the landmark United States Supreme Court decisions of Windsor and Perry, holding section 3 of the Federal Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional.

This program is a video replay of a previous live presentation.  At the end of the program, Joshua S. Rubenstein will be available for a live 30 minute Q&A session.  You won’t want to miss this program!

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Real Time Interactive Q & A Session with Joshua S. Rubenstein: 1:00 - 1:30 p.m.
