This program will provide the audience with a basic, complete introduction to antitrust law. It is intended for junior associates, law clerks, and anyone else interested in getting familiarized with basic antitrust legal principles. No previous antitrust knowledge is required. The panelists are antitrust experts who will offer varying perspectives from academia, private practice, and the government.
The program will explore key federal antitrust statutes and cases, their underlying principles, and how antitrust attorneys apply them in practice. The program will cover the main antitrust statutes and their application, government enforcement by the federal government as well as states (criminal as well as civil), mergers, monopolization, distribution, and other key areas of antitrust.
A reception hour with food and beverages will immediately follow the event, offering the opportunity to meet with the panelists and other members of the Antitrust Law Section.
