Free Program and Reception for Law Students, Newly Admitted Attorneys and NYSBA Members
Transcending Labels: Diversity in the Legal Profession | Panel Discussion
Thursday, March 29, 2018 | 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. | Reception to follow
Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law
Jacob Burns Moot Courtroom | 55 Fifth Avenue | New York, NY
Panelists will explore and discuss issues relative to diversity which law students and new attorneys may face, or have already encountered, as they enter the legal profession.
Topics include implicit bias, being “out” at work, creating a more diverse workplace and being the only minority. Audience members will also be given an opportunity to pose questions to the panel.
Please join Pathway to the Profession, Cardozo Law School, the Metropolitan Black Bar Association of New York City (MBBA), and the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York (Le-GaL) for a reception following the program where you can speak with members of these organizations and diversity representatives from NYSBA Sections.
