Daniel F. Kolb of Davis, Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York City is the new chair of the Dispute Resolution Section.
For more than 45 years, Kolb has been a practicing litigator and trial lawyer in both federal and state courts throughout the country. He has frequently acted as an advocate and neutral in significant mediations and arbitrations. His clients have typically been major accounting firms, financial and industrial corporations, law firms, and a range of public interest organizations.
He was appointed to serve as a mediator in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and New York’s Supreme Court Commercial Division and Appellate Division for the First Department.
Kolb is a past co-chair of the Dispute Resolution Section’s Committee on Diversity and is a member of the American Bar Association’s ADR Section. He is a vice chair on the board of directors of The Legal Aid Society.
