ELDER LAW & SPECIAL NEEDS SECTION
Martin Hersh, a solo practitioner in Liberty, is the new chair of the Elder Law and Special Needs Section.
His practice focuses on Medicaid eligibility, trusts and estates, special needs planning and guardianships. He has had his own firm since 1996.
Hersh, a longtime State Bar member, has held previous leadership committee positions within the section, including vice or co-chairing its Medicaid, Estate Planning, and Sponsorship committees, and has co-chaired two section UnPrograms, events designed to encourage open discussions on any subject affecting lawyers and their practice. There are no prepared presentations or pre-selected speakers.
He has been a mentor for aspiring elder law attorneys through the section mentoring program. Hersh is a graduate of Ripon College in Wisconsin and Pace University School of Law.
