The Mock Trial Summer Institute (MTSI) was established in 2005 to strengthen students' and teams' understanding of Mock Trial and its applications. Forty-eight students are selected from New York State schools to attend this week-long, intensive camp-like
experience. Under the direction of counselors, who are Mock Trial teacher-coaches and experienced attorneys, the students study all aspects of Mock Trial and apply their studies to the presentation of a Mock Trial case on the final day of MTSI. The
fee is $250 for students in New York State and $1,000 for students from out of state.
Download training videos designed to give Mock Trial teams a competitive edge - whether they are first-year teams or experienced participants. Mock Trial 101 is part of the award-winning NYSBA Youth Empowering Youth Program honored by the American Bar
Association as one of the winners of the ABA's 2007 Outstanding Law Day Activity Award.
