The New York State Bar Association’s Committee for Bar Leaders of New York State is pleased to open nominations for the 2016 Bar Leaders Innovation Awards for local, diverse, special purpose and specialty bar associations in New York State, as well as for the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. These awards recognize how bar associations adapt to the needs of their members and the community at large by introducing new programs, ideas and methodologies that benefit everyone involved. Every bar association is encouraged to participate. Every new idea put into effect, no matter how small it may seem, is welcome for consideration. The awards program also provides information to bar leaders concerning new activities and projects that promote the public good, public understanding of the law or the professional responsibilities of attorneys. The 2016 awards will be presented at the Annual Breakfast for Bar Leaders held at the New York Hilton Midtown on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 7:30 a.m.
