year’s keynote speaker is Harry Broadman, an economist and global trade
expert. Mr. Broadman’s public-sector experience includes serving as Chief
Economist of the US Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs; Chief of Staff of
President George H.W. Bush’s Council of Economic Advisers, and as a United
States Assistant Trade Representative under President Bill Clinton. In
the private-sector, he has served as a strategic advisor to companies as
diverse as GE, IBM, Coke, Canon, Exxon-Mobil, Valmet, Abraaj, Corning,
Heineken, Merck, Pepsi, Walmart, Deere, Mars, Canadian Pension Plan Investment
Board, Intel, Temasek, Berkshire Hathaway, McCormick, ICANN, SunEdison, ITW,
Westinghouse, Siemens, Standard Chartered, Microsoft, Manitowoc, KIA, PPG,
Tyco, Caterpillar, ADIA, Dow, Future Fund, and Avon, among others. He has an
A.B., magna cum laude, in Economics from Brown University, where he was elected
to Phi Beta Kappa, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Broadman lectures at Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University,
and is a best-selling book author and monthly columnist for Forbes and Newsweek.
He is a lifetime Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and The Bretton
2019 recipient of the William T. Lifland Service Award is Stacey Anne
Mahoney. Ms. Mahoney is a former chair of the Antitrust Section and has
been a tireless contributor to the Section’s work during her decades of
membership, including several years leading the Nominations Committee, after
serving as Section Chair. Ms. Mahoney is a partner at Morgan Lewis, and
is consistently ranked among the top antitrust lawyers in New York. A
graduate of the University of Michigan, she received her J.D. from Fordham
University School of Law and clerked for Judge K. Michael Moore, now Chief
Judge, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
