presenters sought for LYC Annual Conference

October 9 & 10, 2014   Stony Brook, NY

We are pleased to announce that we have opened the proposal process for those wishing to present at the 38th Annual LYC Civics and Law-Related Education Conference, Oct. 9 & 10, 2014.
Our conference will be held at the beautiful Charles B. Wang Center on the Stony Brook University Campus on Long Island.
Our theme this fall will be: “The Informed Citizen: Media Literacy for the Classroom.”
We will have two 90-minute sessions of presentations on Friday, Oct. 10:
Session One – 8:45-10:15 am
Session Two – 10:30 – noon
Our afternoon plenary session will be a panel discussion not to be missed, featuring Mary Beth Tinker, John Tinker and Cathy Kuhlmeier.

Presenters that have their proposal accepted will have the registration fee waived, and they will receive one night’s accommodation at the campus Hilton Garden Inn, all conference meals and materials, as well as a Thursday evening reception/dinner. Travel is not reimbursable.

The deadline to submit a proposal is 4 p.m. on May 1, 2014.
